zulily is looking for a Report Writer to join our Datawarehouse team. This person will work closely with internal partners such as Finance and Marketing to gather and analyze business requirements and develop reporting solutions to better understand and improve our business. We are looking for someone that has strong attention to detail and dedication to quality. Responsibilities:
Create, analyze, design, develop, test, and implement custom reports and dashboards
Develops reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Excel, and other BI reporting tool.
Strong knowledge and proficiency in SQL language and in developing advanced reporting requirements. Ability to use computed or aggregated columns, averages, sums or statistical computations, while writing sub-queries, nested queries and complex SQL statements to present the required data.
Perform data analysis and testing to ensure the quality and accuracy of reports
Analyze information to help us continue to understand and improve our business
Collaborates with IT, specific departments and business analysts to develop customized reports designed to meet both client and company specifications.
Gathers information and data specifics to meet various report requirements and provide quantitative analysis for data statistics.
Determine best reporting design and associated tools for implementing reports.
Recommend establishment of new or modified reporting methods and procedures to improve report content and completeness of information.
Provide support for existing reports and resolves issues with reports as identified by users
Track and prioritize report requests
Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences
Documents all reports and changes as they are produced

The successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:
2+ years using MS SQL Server and Reporting Services
Exceptional problem solver with the ability to transition easily between detailed data and high-level conclusions/recommendations
Expertise in MS SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 report design, development, and deployment
Strong SQL (T-SQL, PL-SQL) and Excel skills
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
